Horrible service. Reserved a rental car WAY in advance and when I got here on the day of rental service they said that car is not here yet. When inquired about the location, car was still in Little Ferry. The front desk person was very bad saying that he can't do anything when it is his job to figure out the issue. He was like "well I can't do anything. You can either go to other Avis site where car is available, or call manager and talk to him." DUHHHH why do I have to go through extra work that I am not responsible for? We had to leave for the trip and woke up early to pick up our car on time and they halted us. What a way to go Avis. And you guys should train the front desk person better on customer service. Doing only clerical work is NOT what front service does. I know that things can happen (although I can hardly understand this situation) but you should handle the situation better. That is how you raise your brand name. I called the manager and manager said he would send me another car in 15 minutes but it took us to wait longer. We set the pick up at 730 and I ended up waiting total 1 hour. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!

Don't try to call in here, very unlikely someone will answer. Everything went smooth at the center though, got the convertible I booked. Gas policy is just like any other place, return the car with a full tank.

Had a good experience with the rental... Friendly staff. Look forward to more rentals...

DO NOT ever rent a car from this location. I had booked a Mini-van, get to the branch and the front desk agent was very inconsiderate even though it was their fault as they did not have my van. Instead of trying to accommodate my only option was to get a highlander or a Flex which would not solve the purpose of my needs, and when I told him that I would make sure to write a review the response was "it would not affect me at all". PLEASE try to stay away from this branch. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Worst AVIS location ever. SImilar to other comments below, I had a confirmed and pre-paid rental with them but they didn't have my chosen car available when I got there to pick it up. They offered another much smaller car which wouldn't have fit my luggage. The front desk person was hopeless. The manager on the phone was like..."take it or leave it". This is not how you serve customers. Poor management and complete disregard for pre-paid reservations.
